How about having a lunch cart at the docks? Everyone can enjoy your delicacy without having to walk across a busy street!

If not a cart how about a runner/biker stacked with menus for dockside delivery?

First week of business

Can't believe we have been open for just over a week. Working out the kinks and S@#t is always a challenge. Just wanted to thank everyone for the feedback and for trying us out! Staffing especially in the beginning is also tough. We have had some busy times where I know some of you have waited too long for lunch. That is a major concern of mine! I am striving for quality above all and speed has to be there as well. We are working very hard to make everyone's experience a great one. Thanks again for the feedback and the business and hope the word keeps spreading!! Chefbrown

Awesome rids!

Great day for a boat ride so we headed out to Meredith to try out Lakeside Grill. Short walk on a beautiful day from the docks to the resturant. With a nudge I went for the ribs and they were the best I've had in New England - just fall of the bone tender and tasty. We also got a burger (big and juicy) and the Rubin (lean and tender). Big portions and very good sides. Being a math wiz I calculated the stroll from the docks to the Deli and back equals one ice cream cone guilt free. Great evening.

Enjoyed the food so much, we went three times last weekend. I would very much recommend it to all.

Greene's Basin Girl 04-22-2012 03:23 AM

My sister and I got salads from there the other day. They were very good. My only suggestion would be to cut the ingredients smaller. We had take-out and it was hard to cut some of the vegetables, bacon, chicken etc. with a plastic knife.

First, just want to say thanks to Jeff and Annie for staying open 15 minutes later on Friday night. We called them on our way up and ordered dinner to go, told them we would be a little later than 8pm and they had no issues with our later arrival. They made sure our food would be warm and said they would start preparing at 8:05. We arririved at 8:15 and they were just finishing our order. perfect timing. As mentioned above the ribs were delicious, my wife had the seared scallop salad, scallops were tender and sweet, I also had the BLT salad with grilled chicken with my ribs, the salad and ribs were enough to feed two people.
Thanks for the great meal, we look forward to sampling more of the menu.

I'll be back

My wife and I stopped in the past two weekends and had some great salads and sandwiches. We will be back again soon so we can try out more of their selections. Can't wait to get some friends together so we can book a reservation for the private dining room upstairs overlooking the lake.

I grew up in NJ also, and where we lived fries with gravy weren't on the menu. Just wondered where in NJ. I'm from Bergen County.

NoBozo 04-27-2012 10:24 AM

I remember fries with gravy from somewhere but I can't remember where. I was raised in Passaic County, NJ. I also remember fries with vinegar in Connecticut in the sixties. Yummy. :) NB

Disco fries! I learned about these from my NJ friends when I lived in Hoboken for a few years.

Can't wait to try out Lakeside Deli in July. Sounds delicious!

Just read the Laconia Daily Sun online and saw the ad from the Meredith firefighters thanking Annie of Lakeside Grille for the sandwiches and salads and Hart's Turkey Farm for coffee they supplied during the recent fire in Meredith. Good community spirit and great advertising. Can't wait to try Lakeside while we're at the lake in August.

I always think of the Gilbreths when I see the signs for Montclair. : )

Thank you for a great meal last night! We stopped by on our way to Moultonborough and got some great take-out and met Mrs. Chef Jeff. The Vegetable Strudel was fabulous and WBD loved his Mount Washington. He's already planning on working his way through the sandwich menu!

We enjoy our macaroni salad and tortellini salad. The pesto was just right, not overly garlic-y. They were perfect complements to our other selections.

And...the place is absolutely beautiful. Great views from the dining room and the deck. "Two thumbs up! Highly recommend!"

Love Disco Fries-I too am from NJ and spent many a Saturday night enjoying Disco fries in diners all around NJ after hitting the bars :)

They had fries with vinegar in NJ too-I remember getting some at the Monmouth county beaches and having them. I remember my dad having me try them for the first time when I was a kid-thought it was weird until I tried them-yummy!

I was up this past weekend for my sons graduation at PSU. On Friday night we attented his awards ceremony and didn't get back into the Meredith area around 8 pm. We were all staved by this time and I suggested we try Lakesode deli becasue I had heard alot of good things about it from the forum. It was 7:50 and they closed at 8 so my wife ran in and asked if it was too late. They said of course not, c'mon in. The woman behind the counter mentioned the fish of the day was swordfish and my fathers eyes lit up, he no longer had to look at the menu. He said after that it was delicious. My wife got the meatball sub and also said it was delicious. Me.....being the plain picky eater, got the plain roast beef sub. Very good!! At no time did we feel rushed to order. We would of stayed and ate on the deck to enjoy the weather and the view but we didn't want to hold up the staff, I'm sure they wanted to get home after a long day. The woman behind the counter actually started chatting with my mother about her son just graduating from Vermont the week before. So, what I am trying to say is, very friendly people, great food, very nice atmosphere inside, nice eating area on the deck......we now have a new place to go. Only thing missing is the docks.....maybe someday

Great Reuben!

I was able to stop in for my first "to go order" from Lakeside yesterday. I was able to enjoy a beer or two while I waited now that they have their beer and wine license. Loved the Reuben and the Cassidy sandwiches. Chef Jeff and Mrs Chef Jeff are doing it right!

Tastes great...

Went last week for an Italian Sub...almost need a forklift to carry it to the car..I think there were 5 or 6 different meats. Made the car smell good on the way home and it tasted great...easily made two meals. A bargain priced sub for what you get...:liplick:

This is the only place in NH to eat Ribs!!!

Excellent

Chef Brown's Lakeside Deli and Grille is going to be a great success here in Meredith. He has done a wonderful job of transforming a run down property to an attractive and welcoming restaurant. The location is perfectly located in the heart of Meredith with unimpaired views of Lake Winnipesaukee.

So far we have treated ourselves to several of Chef Brown's offerings and have not been disappointed. We look forward to taste testing what else he has in store and enjoying lunch or dinner with a glass of wine and/or beer. Seating indoors or outdoors is optional.

This restaurant is an excellent addition to Meredith. I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time there.:)

Wow that was AWESOME!

We finally got over to the Lakeside Deli and Grill yesterday for lunch. Mrs Breeze and I both had the same sandwiches (The Black Cat Chicken) and they were both awesome! Mine was on the traditional bulkie roll and Mrs Breeze had hers on a wheat wrap. We were both surprised that Chef Jeff put her wrap in the panini press like my bulkie roll. What an excellent idea! The swiss cheese was all melty and delicious and both sanwiches were piping hot.:liplick: We had an excellent dining experience and highly recommend them as a must try restaurant in Meredith. We sat outside on the front porch with a great view of the lake and a nice cool "summer breeze" while we had lunch.

Great job!
The Breeze
Wave 'cuz I'll be wavin' back:D

Amazing Lobster Rolls!

After reading about the transformation of the former Lakeshore Deli, we finally got a chance to drop in last week. We enjoyed lobster rolls, fries and Blue Moon beer complete with a slice of orange while sitting on the porch overlooking the activity in Meredith cove. The food and atmosphere were so good that we stopped back two days later and ordered the lobster rolls and Blue Moon beers again! The toasted rolls were filled with a nice portion of lobster and were delicious. We took home a container of their homemade potato salad and it was really very good. It was a relaxing atmosphere in comparison to the other lakeside restaurant in Meredith. We’ll be back for more. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Chef Brown! :)

Sideswiped My Car

Great food and great service. Well I was there today eating lunch someone side swiped my car. Someone from the deli asked me if the black car was mine and I said no because I just bought it and my old one was gray. I totally spaced.

Ill go back tomorrow and let them know it WAS my car they were asking about. Any chance any Winni people were there today and witnessed it?

Happy Gourmand 07-23-2012 08:13 PM

Lunch today

Fabulous filet steak tip sandwich....real pieces of steak, not like the typical steak sandwich that ends up more like ground beef. Wife had a salad that was huge and delicious, she couldn't eat it all. What a treat this place is....great addition to the lake restaurant scene.
JK, wasn't me, and I didn't see a thing. But I did hear a rumor that the ForumFest would be held there the first week of September or so. You heard it here first!

I totally spaced. You asked if I had a black car and I looked at you and said no. Oops. I'm so used to having a gray car.

Anyway…sorry for my punctuation earlier (was on my phone). I didn't give The Lakeside Deli and Grille proper…er…props.

My sandwich was very fresh and huge. Any time you have a sandwich where you need a fork after it's gone to eat the remnants, you know you have one big sandwich.

I'll stop by tomorrow to get her info. Thanks so much for the call.

In the meantime, here's a pic (hope this works) to whet your appetites.

P.S. Chicken salad with spinach and avocado

My wife and I were in this past friday to grab some sandwiches to bring back to our camp. We both had the Cassidy, a bag of chips and pasta salad. It was excellent and we both couldnt finish it. We will be back for more!!

I still like the Lakeside Deli and Grille very much but I would love to see some dinner specials rather than the same menu items offered at lunch. The quality of the food is excellent but a little variety would be good.

Great place

I ate here twice during my recent stay up on the lake. The first was an impromtu walk by as I was waiting for the rain to pass to take my boat from it's slip to the rental house. And it was so great, I made a point to bring the rest of my family back near the end of vacation.

Given it's walking distance from my slip, I plan to eat here often through the end of the season, and hopefully try everything once!

Given a few lousy experiences with local establishments up on the lake this year, The Lakeside was a shining example of great food done right!

:)

Lakesrider 08-19-2012 09:51 AM

Drove by late last night around 7:45pm and the outside eating area was packed. I like seeing places full of people. We have had it rough for the past couple years and it is nice to see people enjoying the outdoors again. Wish we would have stopped, but we were planning to eat at the Bob House. That didn't work as it was closed when we got there. 8PM on a Sat and they were closed?
Next time it is the Lakeside.....:D

WakeboardMom 09-14-2012 10:26 PM

We love your place, Chef Brown! I put the pedal to the metal tonight on Route 104 and pulled into your parking lot at 7:54. At 7:55 my husband was about to walk up the ramp when a very polite teenage girl told him that the restaurant was closed.

As I walked up behind him, and asked, "What's up?" he said, "This young lady says they're closed." I replied, "It's only 7:55...?" She then said, "We'll, do you know what you want?" We looked at each other thinking that we'd like to go inside and look at the board. My husband answered, "Something to eat?" she then asked "Something from the grill?" we just looked at each other and shrugged.

"I'm so sorry, we're closed. I am very sorry, but we're closed."

Maybe because of the party tomorrow...? But I'm surprised...you guys are generally more accommodating than that; and truly it was 7:55. We thought we'd be all set.

It wasn't a ton of money, but Pat's got our $30 this time.

We will definitely try harder next time.

Wakeboardmom:

If a restaurant says it closes at 8:00 that is typically when the last customer leaves. If they served you at 7:55 you probably wouldn't have been out of there until 8:30. I can understand their position.
