As the summer starts to wind down, I have to come to the realization that everything that keeps me busy on the lake will soon be going away. As many of you know, living on the lake isn't an inexpensive proposition, consequently I have to continue to work, even though retirement age is behind me. If someone is looking for a hardworking, conscientious funny guy to fill a void somewhere through mid April, look no further! That is all!

Seriously, with thought to Pondguy’s posts, how about handyman services? You certainly have the right ‘positive’ attitude and if you could just be responsive to people, you’d be halfway there.

Summer is winding down thank goodness, fall and winter boating is ideal in my new habitat........ Summer boating in 100+ degrees is not so enjoyable.....the fact that it was 84 degrees and 70 percent humidity this morning as the sun rose, had me wishing for the north.... Next summer I hope to make a return for a few weeks.....

Here's a view from the " backside " of the Witches. I love the Governor's Island house on the left. If I'm taking people who have never been to the island out, I like to go slowly towards their dock and say " ok, we're here"! You should see their faces...

To put the low lake level into perspective, that little fender at our Mt. View slip usually sits at the center of the engine cowl... it's now officially a bitch climbing out of the boat here! [emoji16]

They're just a tiny bit harder to get into and out of when they are that low in the water too.

Here's a view I don't enjoy from yesterday...me towing my boat! Overheating warnings you can't ignore! [emoji16] Reached out to Kyle with KC Marineworks. He diagnosed a faulty impeller, replaced it, and had it back to me the same day...amazing!!!
