Fall Raking

I am looking for someone to rake my yard in Alton preferably in November after the leaves all drop. Does anyone have someone to suggest?? Thanks, in advance.

Call PMHS

Hire some high school kids to do it. Call the school, ask for the Guidance Dept., and ask if they can put your name and number on a jobs bulletin board. Sometimes student council, Outing Club, or National Honor Society does fund raisers, which can include raking to raise money. It's a win-win; your leaves get raked and the kids get to make some money for their cause.

How about "A Cut Above" isn't that their profession?

For just $3.99, E M Heath Hardware, located in beautifull Center Harbor, and very close to the docked Mount Washington motor vessel, has these 24" green plastic w/ traditional wood handled rakes on sale and going quickly. I know that I bought one just the other day....what-a-deal! Plus, nobody does a better job of raking your yard than when you do-it-yourself! Besides, it's like an athletic workout that benefits you twice; for both the lawn and for you, buddy!

It's a new rake that rakes best!

... we had a great crew of young folks (teens) from the Boys and Girls club rake our yard. We made a donation to the B&G for the service and the boss made a big batch of brownies and hot chocolate for the kids.

They did a great job, had a adult supervisor, and it was fun having them to the house. (brownies and hot chocolate where great too :) )

They didn't have any way to "remove" the leaves, but it didn't matter as we just had them pile them in the wooded area that is part of our property.

(Best to check if they still have this available..)

What a great Idea.
Keeps the kids busy and gives them money that they worked for.
