With all the discussion of forecasts and forecasting, many may find this article from today's Boston Globe interesting.

I found this article interesting as well.

I did notice something with this week's storm and that was watching the weather radar. Our 6-10 forecast for Laconia area (Alton) went quickly by the wayside as bands of brighter white (heavier) snow kept aiming at Alton, first from the east, then the northeast, then the north. And my visibility went downhill with each band. The snow amount then went from the 6-10 inches to double that...around 15-16 inches at my house just above the bay on the west side.

Oh well, my plow guy is happy, and the yard finally looks like winter.
