Zacheys Closed
Zacheys in Meredith....finally closed for good. I can't beleive they survived as long as they did.. Terrible service. Slow? Slow doesn't even describe how slow they were, Hope someone can move into this location and provide some decent food and customer service
|
Where were they? Is that the old 3 Brothers?
|
yeah

Yes, the old 3 Brothers. On the corner of Routes 3 and 25.
|
I wonder how a location like that would do with burritos....

Mexican would be great!
I also understand AKADQ, that is an old and ugly building. Not nice classic old, ugly 70's old. |
Oh, that place was bad .... went there one time, ordered a pizza, sat down with my family to wait for it. Fifteen minutes went by .... went back up to the counter and asked "Where's my pizza?". "Pizza?" the girl behind the counter said ... "Ohhhh .... we forgot to put it in ... you're better off to go to the place across the street ... "
True story. There was not one other customer in the place ..... |
haha

Yes please!!! Burrito me in that location would be awesome!!
I've got 65 employees who aren't allowed to drive to your laconia location for lunch so they would be stoked if you opened in Meredith! |

Zacheys
Problem is no visable parking and the windows were so dark, it looked closed all the time.
|
Fwiw
I noticed yesterday when driving by that the sign in the Zachey's window actually says that they MOVED to Epping!
|
Good riddance! I'd like to see that building razed and something of a more classic New England style go up, that compliments Inn at Bay Point and Bootleggers.

Weeks Soda Shoppe
I remember when Weeks Soda Shop was in that building. It was a great hang out for the locals as well as the boaters from the dock. This was before George's Diner and the Town Docks.
Two years ago when I was unemployed, I approached the town to get a license to have a burrito and hot dog cart on the town docks. No food carts are allowed near the town docks and Hershey Park. Seems like the local restuarants will not allow a cart. Rusty Maclear? If we can get enough pressure on the town, I can make it happen. Wolfeboro has one, Why can't Meredith?????? |

Come on Burrito Me!!! Would love Burritos right there in Meredith. Every weekend on our way home...the same old question comes up...."where should we stop and grab something". Family loves burritos. |
Another roundabout???
If I remember correctly, a couple of years ago there was a plan to put additional roundabouts in Meredith. I think the plan would have razed Zacky's/Aubuchons to make room for one. No thank you.

I also waitressed at Interlakes Dairy Bar. I worked there in the early 70's. I waited on many of the employees from the asbestos factory. They were always covered with the stuff. Boy have things changed--Thank Goodness!!! I hope they are all OK.

There was a sign on the door as was previously posted. See them in Epping it said. Also a couple weeks prior I found this craigslist posting and googled the telephone number was listed as Zackey in Epping. Soooo.....drum roll please. LOL. http://nh.craigslist.org/bfs/2349293078.html Just read the CL ad again, said must be gone by the 15th. So they likely moved and the place is vacant now and the sign removed. Just a guess on the last part. |
Kind of funny, last year, I personally witnessed them moving all their kitchen things from Epping here, and told he me they were closing that store and concentrating on Meredith.
Well, I hope they find some location that works :) |
rumor?

I'd like to say the writing was on the wall, but in this case, it was in the front window. |
