Is there any place where dog can swim at Winnipesaukee lake?

We visit every year around the 4th of July and have a dog who loves water. So I was wondering if anyone knew any place where she could swim as well as us.

Thank you for any help in this!

Long Island bridge

On the boat launch side of the road there is a small beach and at most boat launches you could sneak the dog in but not you.
Other than that I believe most beaches are off limits to animals.
Now on a boat the places are plentifull.

It's not Winni, but it's close...

"Dog Beach", on the northern part of Winnisquam, via the access road next to the former prison.

Plan your visit for two weeks earlier: you'll find many public beaches aren't yet "open".

At mid-day, between the arrows—from ½-mile away— I could see a black dog running back and forth with just two "people-companions" along the entire length of Wolfeboro's Carry Beach.

You could have the entire place to yourself. :coolsm:

For various and many reasons dogs are not allowed on public beaches. Leash laws and such. Town liabilities. And sadly too many don't pick up after their dogs. And the last thing people at the public beaches want is a yapping barking dog.

But on the flip side. Find a stream/river that has a swimming hole. North Sandwich has one a ways off the road. Give it a try.

Maybe you could...

get your dog it's own swimming pool.

Maybe like this one. :laugh::laugh:

Be sure you watch it to the very end. This is one determined Bull Dog!

dogs

We have our 3 jack russels out on the boat all summer. We place a raft on the back of the boat and the dogs come and go as they please. The dogs jump on the raft go for a swim then climb back on the raft and back into the boat. From your boat you can pretty much allow your dog to swim anywhere you want to because the whole lake is public property.
Now if your talking entering the water from shore thats a different story.
Here's a $1,000,000.00 question for you: Do dogs pee in the water while they swim like humans do?

I see lots of dogs who run into the water and swim....

I do not have a dog but have many neighbors who do. The dogs seem to be wet and shaking their fur coats often. And that is even though we have a leash law. If you have a house with a beach are there rules about dogs going into the water?
