Straw Cellar
 

My family and my husband's family are heading north next weekend (woohoo - at last!!!!!). My sister-in-law wanted to know if the Straw Cellar in Wolfeboro was still open. A trip to the lake wouldn't be complete without it. It's is often hard to tell from the internet listings if a place still exists.

And, I was wondering if that ribbon store is still there. I LOVE that place.

Sorry, but the Straw Cellar closed over a year ago. It is now the Folk Cellar.....a music store. The Ribbon Store closed as well and I'm not sure what is in there now.

The "Straw Celler," didn't close..it moved to a new location in Wolfeboro. I've seen it, but don't remember just where. I believe it moved into where the old "Ribbon" place was, but it IS still IN Wolfeboro Center...er..someplace down on that side street.

It appears that from the Wolfeboro CC website that they moved to 9 Railroad Ave in Wolfeboro.

The Straw Cellar closed but it sold off the "fudge" portion of its business. Straw Cellar Fudge
opened in a very small store on the same block as the former ribbon store.

The former Ribbon Studio location is vacant. A lovely new shop opened recently called Chamagne Taste, lovely sterling silver jewelry and gifts. It's in the Marketplace building.
