Sealion boat trailers
Does anyone on the Forum know anything about 'Sealion' boat trailers?
Reputation, quality, construction, etc…. Going to look at a 16 ft 'bunk' model for my Sunfish sailboat. Dealer is Tilton Trailer Outlet, which has been mentioned on Forum with good recommendations. How does Sealion compare to say 'Loadrite, Cox, Chalkins, etc. Have been looking for a used trailer for over 2 months, but only seeing rusted trailers in poor condition, needing anything from tires, to lights, to bunks, etc. Sellers’, I’ve been dealing with, have been asking prices, close to what I can buy a new trailer. That said, I'm just going to take out my checkbook, and take the plunge and buy 'new' ! Less hassles all around, and I'll probably get at least a year warranty. Thanks for your feedback. Bigdog |
I have owned one sea lion pontoon trailer and it was fine. Got it in tilton. Joe is a great guy to deal with and prices are good. Picking up a new 31' triple axle from him in a few weeks.

Sealion has been around since at least the early 60s. Not the Cadillac of trailers but yet a decent product. A friend bought an aluminum one last fall for his 242 Formula and is very satisfied(also availible in galvinized) They are manufactured about 10 miles from here and comparable to Loadrite. I've dealt with Mike the owner for trailer parts and he's a great guy to do business with;)
