Boating lessons?

Can anyone recommend someone local that gives boating lessons? I am looking to become a first-time boat owner within the next year, but I don't want to go into a purchase like that without some actual experience and instruction on the water, with trailering, launch, etc.

I'm in Tuftonboro but don't mind travelling around the lake if there is someone that comes highly recommended.

Thanks for any advice. :)

Big Lake Boating

There is a company called Big Lake Boating that specializes in helping new captains learn to boat but also to learn their vessel. Below is a link to their info. and a discussion on their qualifications.

Good Luck

and THANK YOU for asking! Most people don't ask and can get into real trouble.

sea tow

I personally had the Sea Tow boat violate the 150 foot rule twice last year once coming within 50 feet of me.
Guess experiance and captains credentials doesn't always mean safe boater.
