Wolfeboro Yard Sale/Carnival?
 

Last year we took a trip on the boat over to Wolfeboro and stumbled across a day where they were having residents auction off stuff as well as having a small carnival with a Ferris Wheel, rides and such. (The field right up the hill from the docks)

Anyway the kids had a good time and we purchased a few items.

Can’t find any mention of anything like this happening this year.

Huggins Hospital Fair?
 

The Huggins Hospital Fair is held the first weekend of August every year in the Brewster field in town. That has carnival rides and a white elephant tent/auction/book sale. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.
