Irene Aftermath

I know there are portions of this in other threads, but thought this might be useful for road closure, services, stores, etc.

To start off, are Moultonborough Neck Road and Long Island Road clear?

Irene Aftermath in Vermont

I know this doesn't apply to the Lakes Rgion, but I think most of us were pretty lucky compared to the devastation in Vermont, shown in the pictures sent from a ham radio friend on this web site:

Here are some good air and ground photos from the aftermath of Irene. The helicopter flew south through the Mad River Valley and the first photo is of the grounds of the Church of the Crucified One near me on Route 100. The “crops flooded” photo is at Trembaly Road and Rt 100 just north of Waitsfield, the Couples club field is between Bridge St and Irasville. It’s the Warren Covered Bridge that almost didn’t make it and the breach of 100 at the bridge is south of Warren on the way to Granville Gulf. You will notice that folk were hit a lot harder south of us, but we had quite enough. The pictures of Route 4 to the east of Killington are staggering.
