New Boat

Hi All,
I am thinking of purchasing a new boat this year and was wondering what should be the percent discount on the list price on average for a high quality manufacturer.
Thanks

Roughly 25% is what I typically see on current model years (not leftovers) based on past buy experiences.

Where are you going to find out what the list price of the boat is? Most manufacturers do not publish this information and I don't think you really want to trust the dealer to provide it.

Prices

The boat shows in Boston seem to offer very competitive pricing. You can get a price and see if the local dealer will match it...which they usually will. Dealer cost for boats seems to be a mystery, unlike cars. I would think volume has something to do with it.

The New England Boat show is this weekend in Boston. Typically if you can one of the boat dealers you have been working with they will set aside tickets for you at the door for no charge. Just a thought, good luck.

Boat Show

The plan is for a new boat at the show this week if all goes well in the pricing :)

Price

Discount from MSRP varies wildly. If you are really ready to deal, push, push, push for price and be willing to put down a deposit. You'll get a great deal.

Make sure anything you do is contingent on a water test.

Good luck and happy boat shopping!
