early warm spell and smallies?

i from CT to start off. this will be my second year fishing at winni for smallies. last year i went up either the first or second weekend of june. and this year me and my buddies planned on going up june 9, but my buddies decided were gona head up a week early instead because of the early warm spell. any thoughts on this? good or bad? didnt know if the warm spell affected anything at all?

thanks for any advice

The spawn is triggered in part by the water temperature so it could start early based upon the weather we have experienced this year.
