1939 Lake geporge Runabout. Pictures
 
Saw this boat in Wolfeboro Bay today so I took a couple of quick pics for your viewing pleasure....Not sure I had ever seen one in person before. This one was fully restored and has a Flat head Ford V8 in it. Sounded really nice.

Thanks for the pictures .I've never seen one. That's a cool looking boat. Its odd how they're so far back in the stern. You'd think once they were up on plane they wouldn't be able to see in front of them.

Pre-war boats are closer to displacement hulls than the modern planing hulls that followed.

With the weight of one or more engines behind the helmsman, it's going to shift the weight so far back, that it's only when "on-plane" that today's Captains can see in front of them.
