The Full Beaver Moon.

Sounds like a 70's adult movie title, but that's what it's called. Great picture.

"At this time of year the beavers are busy preparing for winter, and it's time to set beaver traps and secure a store of warm fur before the swamps freeze over. Some tribes called this the Frosty Moon."

Great moon photo!

I've tried to take pictures of the moon and I am always overexposed. Do you have any advice for a pitiful amateur photographer such as myself?

It took me a few trys to get those by adjusting the ISO and shutter speed.
I think if the shutter speed is too slow it over exposes.
I was just trying out my new Canon SX50IS. I had the SX30IS which I used to take wildlife pics with, but this one is so much better. Has an awesome stabilizer built in for video shooting. I am no photographer....I just take pictures.... I'm sure Airdale1 could help you with all that photo Vodoo/black magic stuff......:D
