Activity on the Ice
1 Attachment(s)
I never knew there was so much activity during the winter.
There is an SUV on the ice and two fishermen have built a couch out of snow. Next year I'll leave a picnic table down by the water. |
I remember freezing my a$$ off
but it was never intentionally!! This ice/snow couch is too funny.
Stay safe, everyone. |
It was a beautiful weekend to be in the Lakes Region. Mid-40's, strong sunshine. Our kids were running around on the ice in short sleeves! A small taste of Springtime before we go back to winter this coming weekend.
I was surprised to see how little snowthere was in the area. Much less than in areas to the south. |
Spectacular Weekend
What a great weekend. We sat out on the deck in t-shirts and watched the snowmobiles, trucks, planes, ATV's, ultralights, and cross country skiers go by on Meredith bay. It was really great to watch so many people out and about. Skied Gunstock on Sunday morning and the conditions were superb. All and all a top 10 weekend to be around the lake's region.

Just wonderful
I made my first trip this winter out to the island on Saturday and it was just wonderful. Warm weather, lots of sun, lots of people fishing, snowmobiling. This was probably the best weekend weather of the entire winter.. such a gift in a beautiful place.

I'm trying to add an attachment (picture) to show how much fun we had this weekend but I don't know how. Can someone please give my easy instructions? Thank you. And it was a perfect weekend by the way.http:// MEREDITH 2005 073

I believe the magic size of the photo to add to a posting is 70 KB. I size mine down to about 2 inches x whatever, and save as a JPG. Seems to be a good size to fit the thread window and still be viewable. Save it to an easy to find location like a folder in "my documents.". When you are responding to a thread or creating a new thread, after typing what you want, scroll down to "manage attachments", click on that, click on browse and navigate to where you stored your picture, click on the picture, then click on upload, and if the file is of the proper type (JPG for instance) and size (<79 kb), it will be shown as an "attachment". You will not see it until you submit and then it will show. See the response under "cool critters" thread in response to your post on Porcupines, and that's exactly what I did.
Hope that helps. |
