The Old Fuller's in Moultonborough
The Old Fuller's is under new ownership. They are now selling Texaco gas and I hear the store is reopening. I hope it is successful. It is easy to drive into, park, shop and drive out.

Thats where I get my gas, Use to go to Skelley's when it was Sunoco
|
Anyone know what happened to the Fullers company?
Is Fuller Oil/Propane still in back? Did Fullers just lease the front part? Or was the whole property sold? |
My understanding is the property was sold and the oil/propane office will stay in place for some length of time.

I believe the T on the gas pumps is for Tedeschi branded gasoline, and not necessarily Texaco. It seems unclear what brand of gasoline is sold there. |

....about 190 locations......since 1923....www.tedeschifoodshops.com
....gas is gas .... all that matters is the price? ...anyone remember the huge Tedeschi super market right on the ocean at Nantasket Beach in the late 1950's? |
I believe Tedeschi's has a store on 104 in New Hampton and one in Tamworth at the end of 25. Would seem to make very logical sense to have one along the route. Would simplify their supply chain. But this is only conjecture. Need someone to confirm the actual lettering on the pump as noted in the prior posting. But if they have indeed bought the site, it will be terrific. Let's hope they continue to have the pumps available 24 hours if the store is not open.

In Plymouth on Rt 25, Tenney Mountain Highway, within the long shadows of the 24 Groton wind turbines, the longtime Shell gasoline & convenience store changed names a couple months or so back. Off came the Shell name, to be replaced by Tedeschi ..... plus Tedeschi's occaisionally runs an ad in the newspaper, that says it "wants to purchase," gasoline & food store locations in central New Hampshire.
On Route 104 in New Hampton, close to Route 93-Exit 23, the Munce's gas and convenience became a Tedeschi's maybe six months ago or so. With gasoline going for the relatively low $3.249 to 3.299 right now, anyone know how much per gallon the station pays for a big gasoline tanker truck to unload 9500 gallons? |
Fullers used to have the lowest prices in the area (town) and I think kept the competition's prices in line. Lets hope this doesn't change.

Wonder what the property sold for. Always drove by and told the wife I'm surprised it isn't reopened. Just said it again last week I always liked that property. Didn't the old (original??) owner get involved in a sexual harrassment lawsuit or something like that?

No information on the Tedeschi web site nor the Fred Fuller web site.
Could be a simple lease and not any property sale. Not sure who provides gasoline to Tedeschi but it could be Fullers company. |
The old Citgo and now Tedeschi station always had the highest price for gas of the three stations out at exit 23 in New Hampton. When the new station did finally get revamped and opened the price was about $.10-15 higher than the Mobil or Irving. It took them weeks to come down. You never saw a car getting gas there. So lets see what happens. I'm gonna bet they eventually raise their price to at least match the station across from the Aubuchon hardware store. Don;t count on any low priced gas there for much longer.:rolleye2:

thanks for the input and getting us back on what is happening in that location. i will also be happy that it reopens but wonder if within around three miles 3 general type variety stores can survive to include green's corner and center of moultonboro

actually the store in center of Moultonboro went out of business at least three times before Murphy bought it but yes they will as people will have choices. Greens corner could end up the most vulnerable as it is the closest but thats business hope they all do well
