Debris - Caution
 

Be careful out there..still plenty of debris. This was just below the surface and the outdrive picked this up earlier today:

Doesn't look like it caused any damage, thankfully.

We picked up a lot this weekend too. Seems to be mostly runoff, small sticks and branches.

Yes, we noticed that yesterday, too. Kind of scary that one might be just enough under water that you can't see it and, well, I don't need to 'splain.

The lake has risen after big rains.

The debris that normally hugs the shoreline—or snagged on rocks ashore—drifts away on the next calm day.

We went out today and were cutting across the broads to go to Winter Harbor. Thought I saw a small duck floating, and moved well to my left. Then I realized it was not a duck, but what looked like a thick stick with 4 inches or so sticking out of the water. I turned back to get it and snuggled up next to it to pick it up. My wife said "this thing is huge"...and she was right. Got it in the boat, a 25 ft Mariah. There was about 3 ft hanging over the stern, and you can't see the first 1.5 to 2 ft of the branch. Thanks to friends on Rattlesnake that let me drop it off on their property. Here is the picture...tell me this wouldn't cause some serious damage.

Thanks for getting it out of the water and good eye!

I pulled a 6+ foot long staircase stringer out of the middle of the broads late yesterday afternoon. It was floating vertically with only about 4 inches above the water. It looked like it had already been hit by atleast one prop.
