Pine Trees Around Lake

There are so many trees with brown needles this year and lots of falling needles. Is this usual or is something affecting the trees?

There has been a pine disease going around that hits one pine and might miss the next. We lost a big one. But I think you might be seeing what happened a couple of years ago and they came out of it.

Weird I was going to post about this yesterday. Lots of them on RT109 turning brown or already brown.

As I recall, they said to just wait a while and they will look better and they did.

I have a beautiful pine that lost it's top this past winter. I thought it was due to winter burn and/or not enough water. Maybe it's a victim, too! Bummed:(

They seem to be slowly succumbing to this disease over time.I have noticed the pines in my yard are getting fewer new needles each season.
