Small Mouth Bass
 

Just finished our two week vacation at Winni... For the most part, the fishing was awesome. Smallies were big, real big. Caught some rock bass, a pickerel, etc... But the smallies were awesome. Sad to leave NH and get back to work. Maybe some day I can retire in NH.:coolsm:

How far is home from the lake and how did you first come to Lake Winnipesaukee?

I live in New Britain Connecticut. We used to vacation on the shoreline in CT, but got tired of the dirty water. A friend mentioned the lakes in NH, winni. In particular. At first I thought, based on the knowledge of the lakes in CT, no way, the water can't be that clean, and the lakes can't be that big... Glad we took a chance. The beauty of the lake, the people, even when the weather doesn't agree, It's a great place to vacation.

Several years ago we tried it. We're hooked. I tried Sunapee for a couple years after seven years at Winni. Nice lake but bad fishing. So, as long as I can, Winni is our vacation spot from now on.
