Dinner ideas before Meadowbrook

Just looking for a nice dinner before we head to Meadowbrook tomorrow night. We've eaten at Patrick's Pub before and would like to try something else. Nothing against Patrick's, just want to try something new. Also looking for the best breakfast in the area. We've tried the Tilton Diner but again, just want to try something new. We love those (mom and pop) type places. Thank you!

In the Gilford area...

Across from the Walmart plaza is "Cookin' at the Lakeside", which used to be over on the boulevard at what is called, I think, Paugus Plaza. Never noticed if they offer beer and wine, we normally eat lunch there, but have had supper there. Family fare in the manner of the Tilt'n Diner.

Sawyer's...we had a nice lunch there recently, other's haven't been so happy with it.

Ellacoya Barn and Grille on Rte 11 just east of Ellacoya State park and Lake shore park. We have had lunch and dinner there, and it is one of our favs. On weekends, reservations may be in order.

Where the old William Tell was in West Alton on rte 11, it is now the Woodlands Tavern. We have had dinner there, and liked it. Suggest reservations on the weekend.

In Lakeport, you have Fratello's, O's, Cactus Jacks, and TBones.

Hope you have season's passes to Meadowbrook...there a lot of choices to try here!!!!!:D

Thank you for all the suggestions! My wife is looking them up as we speak. Any word on the Lyons Den and Kitchen Cravings?

Forgot the Lyon's Den....

Great place...Lyon's Den...don't know how I missed it. Reservations recommended.

Kitchen Cravings...not sure they are doing dinner..I know they tried it a while back, but thought they ceased doing dinner. I could be wrong...ask my wife...she says that happens often...but that would be a whole new thread...

Kitchen Cravings

Is known for great breakfasts and lunch. In Lakeport you have Avery's across the tracks. There is O's at the Opechee Inn and convention center.

In the old train station in Laconia, great food and staff. My wife and I ate there last weekend and really enjoyed it.

Lyons Den for dinner and the Union Diner for the best breakfast around!!!

Have Fun!

Alternative idea

If the weather is nice, consider tailgating before the concert. We've had a great time grilling steak tips and steamed veggies in the parking lot. It adds to the concert experience.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!! Looking forward to it!!

I have to second the recommendations for the Lyon's Den for dinner and Kitchen Cravings for breakfast.

You have Hector's for dinner in the down town loop, Laconia. Great food, steaks, seafood, lighter fare also, burgers ect..good service too, I work there :) and also Meadowbrook has a restaurant on site, when you purchase your concert tickets you can ask, its reservation only and you have to purchase your meal with your tickets. They do a great dinner, I think its about $25-30 per person and it comes w/salad, dinner and dessert. For breakfast I reccomend Cafe deja vu. Thats in Laconia. My favorite breakfast place, quick & friendly!

Juniors Crush House. Good food, reasonable price, great service.

I used to occasionally have dinner at the Paugus Diner on Union Street In Laconia. Now it's called the Union Diner. It's just a few miles from Meadowbrook and no major turns to get you lost! I haven't had a chance to try them since the name change. The menu says breakfast served until 3pm so no need to rush.

Deja-Vu for breakfast

I'd have to second Kar_ren's recommendation for Deja-vu in Laconia as a breakfast option. Consistently great breakfasts, with nice crispy home fries that retain that roasted potato taste. Plus they almost always poach their eggs perfectly. :liplick:
