Jimmy confirmed in an interview this morning on the Today Show that they did indeed name the baby after our wonderful lake!

Definately confirmed.I just watched Jimmy on the Today show and he was asked about the name.He said he got married at the lake so they named her after Winnipesaukee.

Congrats to them. Like many people they have an emotional connection to the lake. Still think the PTB are pushing Leno out too early for Fallon, but it is what it is:)

Apparently he vacations at the lake. Wondered where?

I have heard they have a home on Sewell Road in Wolfeboro. He was at the 4th of July parade in Wolfeboro this year.

Jimmy's wife Nancy parents have a home at point of Sewell Road. Jim dated Nancy several summers at the her parents home. Jimmy is also good friends with Drew Barrymore who stays at a home not far from Nancy's parents. If you come around the lighted marker at the very Sewell Road point there is a flag pole on a dock and that is where the folklore says Jimmy proposed to Nancy. Very nice story now that they named their daughter after their favorite lake.

I think I heard the parents just sold their house. (which was the second one they owned)

Jimmy Fallon is a guest on Jay Leno tonight. He just said that his baby girl Winnie was named after our wonderful lake. He also said that she is a win for them because they finally got her through a surrogate. Of course we all know this, but it is always great to hear nice things about the place we on the forum all cherish so much.
