Vote for Jen Clifford

You might have seen the signs around the area, mostly in Moultonboro.

US Foods is running a contest, Next Top Product, where we asked our customers to send in their favorite recipe.

Jen Hanks Clifford (lifetime Moultonborough resident), Pastry Chef for Magic Foods Restaurants, entered the contest with her Mascarpone Cheesecake. Jen's recipe topped over 70 entries in the Boston division which moved her into the Northeast Region Finals.

The regional round is an online facebook voting round, which allows anybody to vote daily for her to move to the National Championships this November in Las Vegas. The winner of the Nationals will have their recipe promoted nationawide through US Foods.

Please help Jen get to the next level. We are in our last week of voting. You may help by voting daily for her. She is behind and needs your support

2 Easy steps to cast your "DAILY" VOTE
Step 1 .. On Facebook "like" USFoods page.
Step 2 .. On that page .. Post #mascarponeCheesecake (Must include #, one word) Hit Post ..

Thank you for trying to help a lakes region resident the the chance of moving on to the next level

A note from mom

I am proud to say that Jennifer is my daughter and I wanted to give you a little bit of background information from a "mother's perspective". Our family moved to Moultonboro from Rumney, NH, when Jennifer was in the third grade. She attended Moultonboro Central School and graduated from Moultonboro Academy in 2002. While a student at MA, Jen played varsity volleyball and softball.

Jennifer has had a love for baking from the time she was a little girl. She was always watching the Food Network Channel when other kids were watching sesame street. Her first job came from a job shadowing assignment when she was 15 years old. Alongside Donna Love, Jen would learn the trade and is the excellent Pastry Chef that she is today because of her apprenticeship at Love's Quay. Jennifer stayed with Donna as her assistant when Mike and Donna sold Love's Quay and Donna opened up her own shop out of her home. Today Jen is the Pastry Chef for The Canoe, 'O Steaks and Seafood, and The Woodshed.

A young mother of two precious children, Jennifer works HARD, and is her own worst critic. It seems like someone else always gets the credit for what she does. That is why her winning this contest is so personal. You see, Jen is very humble, does not have an arrogant bone in her body, and is not a bragger at all - she even hates it when I gloat about her! So please, take just 20 seconds out of your day between now and Sept. 20 and vote for Jennifer Clifford's Silky Mascarpone Cheesecake. Let's send Jen to Vegas and show the world what the gal from small town USA can do! God Bless you ALL!:)

lakesrider, Thanks for your support. Maybe people in the region do not want to be bothered to vote. But what an honor it would be to make the finals. Top 9 recipes in the country, and somebody from the lakes region could get there.

with voting ending Friday it is so close. For a brief time she had the lead, right now she is behind Arancini Ball (From Buffalo area), and an Eggplant appetizer (from Long Island)

Jen learned her craft by Donna Love and she works very hard to improve every day .. Lets help her have some recognition !

Three days left! If everyone would do as wakeboardmom and copy the original post to share on their FB page, we would really get the word out then. Would you all consider doing this for Jen!http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/u5eju2ez.jpg
