After reading the above post by Den65, I texted my son up there and he ran right over and picked up a couple of pints.

OK, it is still boarded up in the front, but when driving by yesterday, saw the side door open and an open flag flying.

I wonder if it a historic building and they need to get approval to repair?

went this evening as i am closing down in two days and he is only open Thursday - Sunday so had my last fix of Maine Black bear. He said he was having such a great year but had to close for nearly two months in the middle of the ice cream season. Very unfortunate

No it's not the building it's the quotes for the work they are not coming together with what the insurance company is going to pay. quotes are coming in from 80 to 100 thousand.........ouch:eek:
