White perch

Well, I'm throwing out a hail mary here. I have been trying to find white perch schools and I am just not having any luck. I have been searching for several weekends in cluding this past one with no luck. I was told to use double spinners with worm and look in 20-30 ft of water. Been going throughout alton and wolfeboro with no luck. Any intel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

There is a cove back by Springfield point that was a hot spot a few years ago.

Try Jerry Point after 4:00 pm, across from Shep Brown's, in 20-30 ft. of water. Use night crawlers.

After 4PM these days it is cold and dark!

Try trolling or casting a single hook rooster tail with a worm / crawler on it.

Fish at entrances to small coves and bays but stay in at least 20' of water. Once you catch one, stay in that area as white perch are almost always in large schools. Braun bay and 19 mile bay have all, been good producing areas of white perch.;)

There are some real nice white perch in Winni and I consider them to be the best eating fish in the lake!

Good Luck!

Dan

Thanks everyone! I'll give it another shot soon. Hopefully I'll get it done before the boat goes away for the season.

Thanks again!

...Alright, I'm taking tomorrow off and going to try again...stay tuned!

Another gorgeous day at the office...priceless!

Only boat on the lake.....NICE!

Tried every cove I could. No dice.

Where were you finding them? Were they deep yet? Any good size?

Just north of little mark island. 50-60ft water and all around the two small islands just north. (Name?).

Perch hole

When I was a kid there was a perch hole just south of Pine Point. It's on the west side of Alton Bay, just up from Loon Cove. Trolling with anything would bring some hits in the late afternoon, early evening. 20 -30 feet down. Good Luck!
