Boat Cover Repairs

Looking to have boat covers repaired. Any suggestions on someone in the area of the lake that does this. Thanks

We have used Bev on several occasions for different boats and canvases. His work is top-notch. We have also sent other folks to Bev and he always gets good reviews.

Village Canvas is by far the best in the area. They have been around now for quite some time. Over all my family has used them to build cockpit and bow covers for two boats, fix numerous issues with various canvas' that we have had. The issues fixed range from Stitching, to new snaps. The work is always done quickly and on time.

Most recently they took a canvas for my boat that was ordered new from the dealer, and simply fit it to the boat. Live and learn is the motto here... the canvas was ordered from the dealer, to hopefully avoid having to pull the boat and bring it have canvas made... Unfortunately the canvas needed some tweaking... But Village Canvas came through reworked the canvas, and made me very happy.

This is the best in my books and it appears by other threads that many others believe it is also..

.....9-cents/day!

The Village Canvas custom made boat cover for my 16' fishing boat was purchased and made for me in 1993, and it is still very very much in use. Every other summer, I spread it out on the lawn and spray it down with a 15-dollar gallon of silicone waterproofing from Wal-Mart, and believe it or not, it is still in usable shape even after twenty years out in the sun, protecting the little boat from sun, rain, leaves debris, and snow.

It cost about $625 back in 1993, and if I had the money, I should probably get it replaced as it has a couple holes and is getting a little dog-eared, but it still gets the job of protecting the boat done.

Twenty years, actually 21-years now divided by $625 works out to 29.77/year .... and the boat underneath is protected.... or 9-cents /day ..... at 9-cents/day.....that's my type of a price! ,,,, :):D:)

If you go to the huge Wal-Mart in Tilton, you can chose from about three or four different, off-the shelf, boat covers for 14-16-18' vee hull boats that cost about 50 to 100-dollars which are good enough if they fit your boat, but for the real-deal ..... a custom-made cover will hit the spot a lot better.....plus your neighbors .... will probably appreciate not having to look at a cheapie boat cover .....as well.

For small holes and tears, you can get tent repair tape at EMS or other camping stores. You won't get as many color choices as duck tape but you might get lucky.

Tom's Top and Trim

Not only does canvas, he does marine and automotive upholstery. He has been in business for a long time. Very reasonable and fairly quick turn around. (603) 528-4275
