Last gasp from my webcam yesterday before I assume the power went out. Those are pretty serious waves.

Is the dock still there?

jazzman 11-25-2013 07:04 PM

Dock is still there and happy... And looks to be covered with several inches of ice from all the splash over. I wish I'd been there to see it in person. I like the big waves (when my boat isn't tied to the dock).

Jazzman -- GREAT "capture" just as the wave is hitting your breakwater !!

see you in the Spring ! We're done!

Really quite amazing. The "surf" breaking out past your breakwater looks more like the ocean than the lake! I can believe some of the comments stating it was the roughest water seen in years.

Look at the size of the wave on the far right where it hasn't broken yet... The tree branch is at the top of the crest. It looks like the wave is almost as high as my dock posts.

LSP, which is wide open to the North West got wacked pretty bad. All of the boat piers were out of the water so no real damage.

I took this on the rocks that freame the opening to the LSP marina. I had watched them get pounded for two days.

Look at the ice that built up on the rocks and the few plants that had survived the beating.
