Possible Northern Lights Tonight
 
Solar flare from Tuesday is arriving tonight. We may be lucky.....They are saying as soon as it gets dark tonight.....? Hmmmm....Green curtains of lights...

Just came in from walking Sadie about 6:10. (here in Beverly) No signs that I could see. May be too early or too far south or maybe just too much interfering light. I will go out later and check again.

Hoping to see them, but it does not seem likely. The Kp index is still quite low for this lat.

Yeah, I stood out there last night freezing my ... off and didn't see any green curtains myself either. The moon was interesting though. Due to the angle of reflection last night, many of the southern craters were lit better so as get more shadow to make them stand out more.

The moon was extremely bright at around 3:30 yesterday but I didn't get home until after 5 to take this picture. :(
