Rowboats: I wonder if rowboats are welcome to the Raft-a-Paloooza? I have an 11' Lund jon boat that is a blast and a half to row with 6 1/2' oars and I could see me being bored out of my mind on Sunday, August 3, and car-topping it down to the beach at Weirs Beach just for something to do. It does not have a motor, or engine, and just gets oared around with the two wood rows, and I wonder if it would be welcome to the event?

"SWEPT AWAY" is the name on the back of my little dinghy, created with 3" vinyl letters from Lowe's.......hey there Alton Lady......meet me down at the Raft-a-Paloooza....and we can sit side by side, inside my rowboat....and row the two oars as a team......and make it a "LOVE BOAT" ...... something that can be done in a rowboat but not in a kayak or a canoe .....don't u-know it! ... :love:

Rowing along in "the love boat". You don't leave a lady much reason to say no.......:look:

Can you say online dating? FLL will do pushups for you while you row.:laugh:

Takes much of the fun out of the event, IMHO.

.......say-hey.....as everyone knows.....a paddle and an oar are a little bit different.....but are also pretty similar.......an oar....a paddle......a paddle.....an oar.....have pretty similar shapes and designs and are powered up by the individual person holding the paddle/oar.....and one thing they are not.....is an engine or a motor with a propeller.....which is a big difference.....all you need to do is go row or paddle a boat and it's very different than using a boat with a motor/engine.....row-row-row-paddle-paddle-paddle-row-row-row-paddle-paddle-paddle.....like what's the difference??????

....oh yeah.....sad but true.....after 26-months, I got dumped in November for a guy 17-years younger than me, who actually has a real job......imagine that??? .... I'm 62....she is 48....and the new guy is 45.....but say-hey.....that's the way the banana splits....and I wish them all the best together.....there's plenty-o-fish in the sea ..... and around the lake!!! ....... so I will live to love on another day!!!!! ..... :D:banana:
