Opening Day?

So April 1st has come and gone and I haven't heard any stories from opening day fishing. Were people even able to put into the water? How about off the docks in Alton and Wolfeboro?

What's up

I will have the little bass boat in next week or so to putt around in the coves near Christmas Island. Last summer I caught my first smallie on May 1st with the water temp @50 degrees. From there it was crazy. I expect the late ice out will make the pre spawn a little later than normal. :(

As you can see there isn't much open water, but there are 2 boats visible. This picture was in our 4/2 newspaper showing opening day in Wolfeboro.

Didn't someone drown a few years back in Ctr Harbor in a similar jon boat....not wearing a life jacket around this time of year?

You are correct. One of the bodies were recovered off our shore. Let's be smart people, and not have the same thing happen again.:(
