Saturday Brunch?

Anybody know of a good place to go for brunch on a Saturday?

Shibley's on the Pier Alton Bay.

The Mug in Center Harbor, but also Sunshine & Pa's in Meredith is great-also Donna Jean's Diner down at the rotary at Weirs.

Nothing beats a drive up through the notch to Polly's Pancake Parlor! We make it a day trip every summer. :) On a Saturday I would DEFINITELY call an hour before you expect to arrive and get your name added to the waitlist. Otherwise, expect to wait quite a while for a table!

This is a great time of year to go and see the lupins. I think it might be a couple of weeks before they are blooming though. We did the tour and then had pancakes at Polly's!

What about Heritage Farm in Sanbornton... They have a great farm fresh breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, etc. if you have kids they can walk around the farm and see the animals.

Options

Heritage Farm is good but, they close early according to the site they close at 1230pm, and sometimes they are very crowded on weekends. There are alot of options out there, since I have not been there since 2010, I can not really say what is still there but, 3 are Donna Jean's at the Weirs and Union Diner is also good as is Ames Farm Inn.

Yes, we love Heritage Farm! Best breakfast ever; pancakes made from scratch and everything is farm fresh. We did consider that but the time constraint won't work for us as we have a lot of family here for our son's graduation and we know we could never get them all there that early.

Sunshine and Pa's sounds good. I have never been there though, anybody else like it?

Kitchen Cravings.

You can always go to Kitchen Cravings at the Laconia Airport in Gilford. Give Bill or Sally a call just before leaving and see if they will reserve tables for you.

Sunshine and Pa's has great food. How big is your group? They may be able to give you a room with a bunch of small tables. If you're thinking about going there, I'd definitely call ahead.

Thanks for posting. They are further ahead than mine here. I think they have had more sun up north than we have had. Or maybe because we are on the lake. My lilacs are all gone by now though, they have been for a few days.

My rhododendrons here in Southern NH are in full bloom. I love that I have one in Moultonborough that blooms well after these, so I get to enjoy them for a while. : )

Mine on the south side of the house are in full bloom too and just gorgeous this year. The north side ones are not quite totally out. I think this must be a good year for them though.

blacksheep 06-07-2014 10:14 PM

Just noticed them starting to bloom here in Plymouth. I'm thinking that means we're probably a few days behind Sugar Hill. Pancakes and lupines! Life is good in NH. :)
