I had a very good recent experience with Loon Point Appraisals. (603) 253-3375. I know they also do work for a local bank.

Applied Economic Research in Laconia http://aernh.com/

They are not cheap, but they do provide the most in-depth, comprehensive appraisals in this area in my opinion. I have used them for both residential and commercial projects.

I have used them for commercial appraisals and I know many of the local banks use them for commercial work. My last commercial appraisal done by Applied Economic Research cost somewhere in the $3,000 range.

Russ Thibeault, the President of the company, is often quoted in the local press regarding property values and market trends.

Yes, that was about what I paid too. They did a very comprehensive residential appraisal for me when I was abating my assessment. It too cost about $3000.00, but it saved me a tremendous amount in assessed value and therefore, property taxes.
