Tonights Moon and Mars
The little bright dot just above the moon is Mars. The bright star just off to the left is Spica. (Not showing in the picture. You will have to go out and look.)The brightest star in the Constellation of Virgo. Now I tell you this because on the 7th Saturn will basically replace Mars just over the moon. Just a little moon trivia for you tonight seeing as it is so clear out.....

I've been sky gazing quite a bit the last few weeks. What I'm into now is watching for satellites passing overhead. Really cool. All space debris are called satellites so most of what you see is just that. Almost everything I see is coming from south to north but not always. They look like medium bright stars and take about 30 seconds to pass. Some will dim but if you follow the path they will get bright again, I believe because these pieces are tumbling and the light reflection changes. Real fun to view,
