Porcelan sink repair ?

A few of our bathroom porcelan sinks are showing signs of wearing of enamel around the drain plate. I suspect this is a result of minerals in the water.

Any suggestions on how to recoat the procelan?

Don't want to replace sink at this time.

Thanks,
Bigdog

They sell touch-up kits at Home Depot, but IMO the results usually look worse.

A little bit of "patina" from wear looks better than an imperfect touch-up job to me. I'd leave them until you're ready to replace.

Rustoleum Product

Hi,

I had good luck spraying my fiberglas tub with Rustoleum's 2-part epoxy kit for porcelain and fiberglass. Prep was the key. I had to repair the floor, it had cracks, but after sanding the tub looks almost as good as new. I did a lot of research and surface prep makes the difference.

Supposedly you can brush it on. I used a Wagner sprayer and built up a good coat quickly. You can get it at Home Depot.

Good luck!
