State to purchase Marina?
 
Has anyone heard rumors/rumblings about the State negotiating to purchase Glendale Marine to enlarge the MP facility?

Yes, it's pretty much a done deal from what I have heard. No rumblings either, marine patrol desperately needed a new building and the marina is happy to sell the existing facility and move across the street I believe. All second hand information from reliable sources so take it for what it's worth.

Its the big storage building opposite the other end of Dock Rd, but I didn't know there was any other building there big enough for a boat shop.

No building there yet,...rumor has it new building to be built on land to the left (east) of Toy Box...

Ahhh, I see. So it's not going to be an immediate move?
Just guessing here but probably not. I would assume however that any new building for the marina would be completed well in advance of the the new marine patrol headquarters.

Oh. Didn't know the MP was slated for a new HQ. What time frame does that have?
