Hearing Set for Proposed Freshwater Fishing
Freshwater anglers and people who use Fish and Game wildlife management areas should note that the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing regarding proposed rule changes to take effect in 2006 on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 6:30 pm, at Fish and Game headquarters on Hazen Drive in Concord.
Proposed changes for 2006 to the inland fisheries rules |
The proposed rule change that addresses an off limts within 500 feet of a tributary on 2 tier fisheries is a joke.
There is already a rule in place that makes Salmon off limits after September 30th. Why should all anglers be penalized with this proposed rule? Is it simply because the law enforcement staff can't enforce the original law? If so, why another law that is a waste of our tax and fee dollars spent, not to mention an attempt to stop general fishing which we all pay for with our annual license fee. Just my opinon, John/NH |
I would think a closure date for all species would be a lot easier to enforce.
