IPhone 6 and Winni Nav

I have a new IPhone 6 and software. Took a trip last night to Wolfeboro. I opened the WinniNav by BK Goodman and it first identified my location. But after that it didn't move from the original location.
So I deleted the old app and reinstalled it thinking that the new Operating system and software was not compatible with the my older installed WinniNav software. It still does not work. Taking another trip tomorrow night need help trying to find out the solution.
Now I have repaid for it to be reinstalled again. Don't want to pay for another install. Thanks for your help!

I am having a problem with it freezing up also. I can't remember that app ever updating.

Where can I find the WinniNav by BK Goodman. I only have the Bizer GPS maps and that has been acting up lately on my iphone 6.

I just realized you were talking about the Bizer map...my fault. I emailed them about it on July 4th. When I get a response I'll post an update.

I don't think the Winni app by BKGoodman has been updated ever.... You can find it on the app store...

I went with Navionics... works great on my i5 and it was $14.99... of course that's a subscription, so I don't know what happens when that runs out. But so far its an awesome back up to my Garmin Nuvi500....

I've had this happen on my iPhone 5S in the past. Will keep track of our position then loses the connection. Usually just close it and open it back up again and it fixed it's self.

IIRC I don't think the app ever shows as being updated in the App Store description.

Must be nice to still be selling a product like this and then never update it!!!

I got a response back from Bizer....they seem to think its only me experiencing the problem and I should contact Apple.

Bizer has several hundred apps out in the field. This is the first instance of a problem of this type. I suspect it is the iPhone itself. You should contact Apple.

I've had a couple of reports with that with the iPhone 6+ (never an iPhone 6) - I am looking into them and hope to have an update out soon.

I like navionics. and you can sync it with ipad and there is a free webapp to use on your computer. http://webapp.navionics.com.

Most of my boating is in salt water and its a great app, I am alot more comfortable there than the lake, so for me, its a great tool to have on the lake. I have the Caribbean version also for a bareboat charter I did.

i can't find the Bizer MAps in the Apple store. All the links on the websites and a direct search come up with nothing. Any suggestions?

thinkxingu 07-31-2015 05:58 PM

There was a thread here a few weeks ago about it having glitches and being taken off the market.

I use Navionics as well. I originally bought it because I took my little Whaler down to the Intercoastal in SC for a couple months but it works great for the lake as well.
