I've said this before, and I'll say it again ..... and nobody seems to agree.....but, wouldn't it be nice if Lake Winnipesaukee has a go-fast window of opportunity for the go-fasts to get out and go fast ..... something like Sundays; nine to noon, no-speed limits Sunday morning on the broads.....instead of attending church service....both go-slow spectators like me, and go-fast, performance boats could congregate at the designated 9-mile long broads race track and spend Sunday morning to worship the 'need for speed' on the big lake. The big lake has a long time history as a go-fast venue, and it seems reasonable to have a three hour window of go-fast opportunity on a weekly basis.


Sundays; nine to noon ........ BE THERE .....budda budda budda vrrrrrrooooommmm ....budda budda .... all hail the 107-mph, 27' twin hull skater-cat with twin 300-hp, Merc 2-strokes .....bzzzzzzzzzz!

Winni has some absolutely beautiful "go fast" boats and I'd love to watch a parade of speed at least at a minimum of once a month.

We're pretty lucky on Sleepers as we get to see a lot of them come through and show off a little by the sand bar but they're usually "well behaved".

I would also like an opportunity for the go fasts to safely operate on the lake. My son has one and would love to do it.

I was a little confused as to the exact location of the loop shown in the video. All I could recognize was coming back into the outer Wolfboro Harbor and then turning left toward Sewall Point. I would assume it then headed up into the broads but I couldn't make out Parker Island. Did the loop go beyond the northern point on Rattlesnake?

Was the boat really going over 120mph in the video?

The "wet pits" were at the Wolfeboro Town Docks, and the course was a lazy counter-clockwise triangle. The boats eased out of the pit area and headed toward Sewall Point, made a sweeping left turn (so the the Broads were to their right), came back toward Brewster Beach, turned left, again, and swept back toward Sewall Point. In reality, I don't think the boats actually ever left the confines of greater Wolfeboro Bay.

Was that boat actually able to reach 120mph in that fairly small loop?

What's even cooler is we can see our boat anchored on the first turn (top of the Bay) !!
