Russ Scott
This wonderful man has lost his courageous fight and will be missed by all who knew him. A true islander who would help any and all.

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/uni...&pid=177378071 I met Russell a couple of times, having the pleasure of joining him, his wife and others for lunch one day. A fascinating person to talk to. Condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him. |

He was, and I am totally drawing a blank on his user name. Perhaps DRH, Quilt Lady, or Slickcraft can weigh in on this. GHfromaltonbay as well. |
Mrs. Russell Scott
Russell's wife Joyce posts on the Forum as DBA. A lot of people have been keeping the Scotts in their prayers. Russell was a "legend" on the lake in the Rattlesnake Island/Minge Cove area. He had a few watercraft including an airboat. I'll never forget a trip to Rattlesnake one March in the airboat with DRH and Island Girl to reboot Snake Eyes.

He will be missed!
Russ was an integral part of Rattlesnake Island Association and Minge Cove Marina. He volunteered countless hours to each association. His love for the lake and the island is unparalleled. He is a legend that will be greatly missed!

J and I will miss Russell, he was a quality person. We last had lunch with him and Joyce about 2 months ago and in spite of a year long battle with cancer he was still his own self.
We often met him and friends on Wednesdays to shoot at the Belmont Range and then have lunch after. At times others that have posted here would join us for lunch. He was a kind and generous person as all who knew him will attest to. |
Such a Loss
Russell was a good friend to Quilt Lady and me, and he was a wonderful man. He would do anything to help someone out, and he had a gifted mind that enabled him to figure out pretty much any mechanical problem. He helped me with many projects and always came up with "the answer". He will be sorely missed, especially by his beloved wife Joyce ("DBA").

Truely a Great Person
Russ was also a good friend of mine. He was always a very generous man who was mechanically inclined. He volunteered for many projects, initiatives, tasks and was always there. He will be certainly be missed.

In my time of need friends and family opened their homes
They nourished my soul and taught me the meaning of life We laughed, we played. We shared many meals Island life made possible through the caring and sharing Of these remarkable people. One of these friends has passed to the island in the sky He is no longer in pain He has touched us all He will be missed RIP, Russell |
I met Russell and Joyce through DRH and Quilt Lady. Enjoyed shooting with them at the Belmont Range and then lunch at Country Cook'n. What a wonderful man, who lived life well by helping others.

My Wonderful Husband
I want to thank all of you for the sweet words about Russell. He had a handle but he never posted...not a computer guy. His handle allowed him to attend forum fests. But anyone who knew him had the benefit of his warm and generous spirit. A man of integrity, ethics, honesty, and caring given freely. There is a hole in my world right now, but he will be in my heart forever.
