Smallies
Coming up to the lake this weekend, anyone have luck with the bass? Are they shallow still or deeper?
|
as of the weekend before memorial day when normallyu hitting them 4 to 20 feet because of the early thaw and temp they were mostly sitting in 12 to 25 feet on the drop offs like it was July/August.
also they were not very active or interested but was post spawn as spawn was early this year. Tight lines!!! hit the drop offs with spinners and senko worms |
nh fishing report

link above to the most recent F&G fishing report. Some bass may still be on beds in places on the big/cold lakes. Also from AJ's bait and Tackles facebook post: "Please take note that in NH it's 'catch & release' season for Bass and you CANNOT TARGET them with live bait (this includes worms)! Black Bass (Smallmouth Bass & Largemouth Bass) May 15th to June 15th. Catch and release only. Artificial lures and flies only." good luck, and let us know how it goes :) |
White and red spinner baits, 8-12 feet in water. I mix up the retrieve speed between casts and pepper the same area. I too find they are there but slow, more reaction bites in my opinion. Been killing them all week.
