Smallies

Coming up to the lake this weekend, anyone have luck with the bass? Are they shallow still or deeper?

AC2717 06-03-2016 08:19 AM

as of the weekend before memorial day when normallyu hitting them 4 to 20 feet because of the early thaw and temp they were mostly sitting in 12 to 25 feet on the drop offs like it was July/August.

also they were not very active or interested but was post spawn as spawn was early this year.

Tight lines!!! hit the drop offs with spinners and senko worms

nh fishing report

http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/fish...2016-0603.html

link above to the most recent F&G fishing report. Some bass may still be on beds in places on the big/cold lakes.

Also from AJ's bait and Tackles facebook post:
"Please take note that in NH it's 'catch & release' season for Bass and you CANNOT TARGET them with live bait (this includes worms)!
Black Bass (Smallmouth Bass & Largemouth Bass)
May 15th to June 15th.
Catch and release only.
Artificial lures and flies only."

good luck, and let us know how it goes :)

White and red spinner baits, 8-12 feet in water. I mix up the retrieve speed between casts and pepper the same area. I too find they are there but slow, more reaction bites in my opinion. Been killing them all week.
