.... new courts: Center Harbor

Hurray for Center Harbor ...... yabba-dabba-doobie! ...... after many years....possibly maybe 40-years .... the two Center Harbor tennis courts are being resurfaced by www.vttennis.com and ditto that for the outdoor basketball court that's close to the town beach.

The two old tennis courts were in tough shape....but not any more! Hopefully, the hitting backboard which is made with 4x8 sheets of plywood can be replaced as well ...... it needs it!

With a total of twelve public, totally free-to-use, outdoor tennis courts in the area; 2-Center Harbor, 4-Moultonborough (one coexists w/2 pickleball courts w/ dark red lines), and 6-Meredith (two w/lights), that's a lot of tennis courts, and all are now in the greatest condition ever played.

Other tennis courts nearby: 2-Holderness, 2-Ashland, 5?-Laconia, 4-Plymouth, 18-Waterville Valley (red clay, smooth sneakers required, no running shoes, team round robin tennis: $10/2 hrs, 9am M-F www.wvtennis.com )

Question of the day: So, if tennis courts have white lines, then why do the Moultonborough pickleball courts have dark red lines? Answer: Is done to coexist and share space with tennis court, and to not visually interfere with the tennis white lines ....... capice! ...... after all, tennis was here first. Who knows ....maybe bright blue lines for pickleball could be a doable remedy ..... so's it would be bright blue and white ....... seems ok?
