Construction work on former Blake building near Alton Circle?
 

I'm curious if anyone knows what is going in there. This was the 'Blake Equipment' building that was sold recently, right next to the American Legion.

They've done some sitework, and now there is a new facade going up.

According to a local source it was to be a car wash but the owner began reconstruction with no permits and the site has been shut down. Pretty far along before someone realized the Alton building inspector was asleep at the switch.

That's going to be a big car wash. Isn't there a new car wash in Wolfeboro?

According to a reliable source, on her way from the horse barn, a new Dollar General sign was spotted near there.

Sometimes they let it go a while after the violation starts because it costs the violator more than a fine. Word will get around fast to developers trying to beat the system that it's not cheap to break the rules.

The dollar general is going south of the circle closer to water industries.
