More "Bounce" for the Ounce...

About a half-mile away from us is a inflated device that looks like a lot of fun. :)

You seat your "victim" at the red-color end of the float. Have a friend climb a ramp to an elevated platform. Your friend jumps off, hits the yellow part, and launches the victim into the air. In this case, it took two friends to jump at the same time get this picture—and here, the "launchee" may have been launched even higher than the camera's shutter could capture!

(Boaters should stay 150' from shore). ;)

That is quite something, isn't it? Wasn't it there last year also?

These float things are all the rage. Governor's is littered with them. I suspect another fad that will soon pass. Then again, i said that about jet ski's...

I've been by that several times and it's always deserted. Glad to see someone actually used it. My guess is that it's fun once or twice and then the soreness sets in for both the launcher and the launched.

Sadly I think they are here to stay, but I do find it comical that you have all those beautiful places worth millions of dollars architected just so, landscaped just so and they anchor out this gigantic ugly yellow and blue eyesore right out in front.

I give it 5 years before enough people (probably on this forum) complain about them, or one or two kids snap their necks and they end up being banned.

I tried one last year and in my entire life never being hurt on a rope swing hitting the water from one of those was more dangerous in my opinion. Especially as my friends would constantly be going bigger and bigger.

I sure hope you're right. Wait, do I sound like an old fart? Turning 60 on Monday!

Wow, lets not be a bunch of old farts with a get off my lawn attitude. If your a kid there is nothing more fun than these water trampolines. My kids lived on them growing up and every kid in the neighborhood was there as well. We had the trampoline, the log roll and the blob. the blob is a version of what you see in pic above. It would send a small kid 20 ft if done right. These do no harm to the lake so i recommend you get out and bounce around on one.
