Live free or die, baby!

NH ranked #1 "free" state in the union and we moved here from NY (ranked last) two years ago. From worst to first!:liplick: |
We escaped NY 3 years ago and couldn't be happier living the good life here in NH :D
From worst to first !!! |
Me Too!!!! Soon! Live Free or Die!
I'm with both of you. I am also from NY and will very soon become a permanent NH resident.
Actually spend as much time in NH as possible and not only to I love the state itself and the people additionally have always felt NH has much more reflected my "views" than New York, especially what we call "down state" (NYC, Westchester, Long Island) |
I have escaped CT which is ranked 45th in the analysis.
A word of caution... We escapees need to realize that some of the tendancies of our previous states may have rubbed off on us. We must be careful not to screw up NH! |

We love NH just the way it is & in no way want any NY tendencies to follow us here ! Leave 'em at the border

I was born and raised just north of Boston and personally I need both. I've been coming to the lakes region since 1974 and built my second home here. I enjoy getting away and all the area has to offer. Then again I had to go into Boston a couple of weeks ago and was reminded of what a great city it is. As a genealogist I went to the New England Genealogy Society established in 1845, great elegant building with extensive collections of family and U.S. history. Newbury St with sidewalk cafe's, Public Library. For me 15 min to a Red sox Game or the airport. I think the best food in the world, the Woodshed is nice but help me out people from NY, CT, Bos there is no comparison.
No, I need both. |

Nothing wrong with that. |
Nh ma de ct
I have lived in MA, CT, DE & NH. By far and without a doubt NH is the best state, and living in the Lakes Region is HUGE bonus. Surprisingly DE is a bit of a hidden jewel but to darn hot! God willing I will never leave.

One measure of "freedom" where NH arguably falls short is the state's marijuana laws as to recreational use.
some other states (Colo., Or., Wa.) are more progressive in that area. This is a current cutting edge battlefield as to the issue of personal freedom. |
