Dripping faucet ?

I have a dripping faucet issue with my kitchen sink.
It's a two handle Delta faucet.

In the past, I removed the faucet handle, then the stem assembly, and last the rubber washer and spring in the seating hole.

Had same issue before, and all I had to do was replace with new rubber washer and spring to cure the issue. I did the same this time around, but faucet still drips.

Could the underlying issue be the stem assembly causing the dripping?
Do these stem assemblies ever go bad ?

Thanks!

I had the same issue with an American Standard kitchen faucet.
Has a lifetime warranty. Worked perfectly for a few years. Then a slow drip.

Called. They sent out replacement parts. Installed them. Still dripped.
Called again. They sent out same replacement parts. Installed them Still dripped. Instructions included. 2nd time had a friend read instructions and install parts. Still dripped.

Finally went out and purchased a Kohler brand and no drips since.

American Standard. They did honor their lifetime warranty and did send me a new kitchen faucet. I sold that one on eb*y.

I don't know how these manufacturers can foul up a simple faucet. But they do.

To answer your question yes it could be the valve assembly. I've found Delta to be great when ever needing anything they walk you through things and send you what's needed for life. I've not had replaced things leak for years, you can get a lemon with anything you buy I suppose...

The valve seat may need dressing or replacement:

Awesome like I said I've always found them to be great but everybody's experience will differ I suppose...
