Yes indeed, the first sunset at camp is always special....especially when it's on your birthday!!

I believe you may be thinking of Slickcraft ... another Welch Island resident. I think last year was the first time he and Mrs. Slickcraft spent her birthday on Welch thanks to the very early ice-out.

As DRH correctly remembers, it was I and my wife on Welch on her birthday, 3/16/2016.
