Amazing Storm Clouds Over Weirs Tonight
 

Stopped about 4 times to take photos on my ride home from work tonight from gilford. This was amazing. It looks like the aliens are landing...again!

Gillygirl, nice call. When we lived in Louisiana, we would see these cloud formations on occasion, and often we were in either a tornado watch or tornado warning. Severe storms, high winds, torrential downpours, and often hail. Very pretty, but don't miss seeing them. Coloration was usually a steely gray to a greenish color.

Cotton Candy Clouds
 

We saw this spectacular cloud display high over the Belknap range from our dock on East Bear Island. Their reflections on the water, as well as the warm glow of the reflected sunlight on various surfaces, was beautiful. 🌥

I've never seen mammatus like that in person. Damn. Gotta move north soon.

Meredith Resident, do you mind if I post a couple of your pictures on the UMass Lowell weather page? Some friends of mine are posting pics of yesterday's storm, and yours are much more impressive than what they took. If you want to PM me your name, I could give you credit.

And send them into WMUR for their meteorologists. I bet they would get air time.
