I need help with motel names....waited too long

Hi. We are going to be there the week of 9-11 thru 9-17. Did not know until this week that it is NASCAR week up there, and accomodations are scarce. We would need 2 rooms.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the Inn in downtown Laconia, that used to be the Sheraton. We will have to try there. Other places have room through Thursday, but not for the weekend.

Not looking to spend a bundle.....but any suggestions would be appreciated.
TIA.
:)

Motel Name

I believe the Inn you are referring to might be the Landmark Inn, unless it has changed names again. I know the place I am talking about it on 4 corners in Laconia.

Good Luck...

Thanks Folks.

We got a room through Friday at the Birch Knoll. We leave to come home Saturday, so we will just stay in M'chester Friday night.

Can't wait to be up there. Sweet corn, here we come. :)

Sweet Corn

How about Sweet Lake and Sweet Forum members, also, Lady? lol. Make sure to call Greens & Beans and have them hold some for you, you know how quickly that stuff goes around here! :liplick:

Lady Di-
If the place your thinking of is in fact the Landmark Inn, we stayed there last weekend. The room was reasonably priced and was clean. Although it is not a luxury hotel, it is close to quality dining choices and family entertainment options. Hope this helps.

Ha Ha Waterbaby.

Is Greens & Beans the corn place on rte. 25 on the right just up the hill from Meredith? Maybe a mile? That corn was to die for. :liplick:

Rinker........thanks for the info.....altho we have found a place for this visit, we will keep that in mind for next year.

Greens & Beans is in Gilford next to Dave's Motorboat Shoppe. Your thinking of a farmstand (don't remember the name) on rt 25 in Moultonboro.

Greens & Beans

Thanks, Prop, you got back before I did! Lady Di, if you're heading south on 11B (?) (I'm bad at route #s, lol) and Sawyer's would be on your right, Patrick's on your left, take that right heading toward Gunstock Moutain and G&B is on the left, kind of behind Sawyer's. They have tons of yummies, although at this time of year no matter where you get your corn you can't go wrong!

Route 11 Directions

Waterbaby,

You are indeed directionally challenged. If you are heading East on Route 11, Patrick's is on your left and Sawyer's on your right just past the Laconia airport. At the traffic light you then make a right onto 11B just before Sawyer's parking lot, (a Verizon bldg. is next to Sawyer's) and head towards Gunstock on 11B. Beans & Greens is just past where the road curves to your left and then bends right.

The place (I think) you are referring to is called Moulton Farms. Also an excellent place for veges, baked goods and plants. They had completed major renovations and an addition - last year was their first year they were open through December.

Yes Yes, Outlaw.

That is the place. It's down a long(ish) road through a field. It was the honor system..........

I can picture where Greens & Beans is............I know the area well.

You're all correct............wherever we find it, it will be fabulous.............and carbs be damned that week we are there!!!!!!!! :liplick:

Thanks, all, for your help. See you soon! :)

Oops, and you called it right! I apparently was never a sailor in a previous life using the sky for directions, lol, which is a good thing. Let's put it this way, Hubby and I had a year-round rental in Lakeport for quite a few years, and I think we were probably there for about 8-9 of those years before i realized when we were heading from the Weirs to Lakeport we were heading south, not north, lol. :rolleye2: At least I had the vicinity correct! :D
