Boating/Fishing in December

A bit warm this morning, looks to be about 39 degrees. However not sure I would be out fishing in a boat on Meredith Bay. Photo taken today, December 28, 2019 at 8:30am.

Perfect day to be out on the boat... off season is the best.

If the comforts of home include a wife that reminds you of a mile long honey-do list that is going to take years to complete and a couple kids tearing around the house still revved up from Christmas, I think fishing on a day like today may not be such a bad option. Of course opinions may vary ;)

As I recall ..... here in New Hampshire on great lakes which means a body of water at least 10-acres size ...... from January 1 to March 31, fishing through drilled holes in the ice IS allowed and fishing though natural openings or in open water IS NOT allowed.

Southwest Airlines has direct flights from Manchester to Tampa.

There the ice is not ambiguous like here.

It is always out.

That's a great place to fish this time of year...even if you catch nothing!
