Food Cooperative in/near Tuftonboro (UNFI affiliated)
 

Hi !

Having just relocated to this area (Mirror Lake), am looking for a food coop, where you can order or get items from UNFI.

I am aware of the coop in Wolfeboro, but they don't appear to be UNFI affiliated.

UNFI has a *lot* of items ! There are coops all over that use UNFI as their supplier.

Does anyone know of a UNFI coop that's not too far from Mirror Lake (Tuftonboro)?

Hi Steve. I'm also in the Mirror Lake area but not familiar with UNFI, however, looking at their website they have distribution center in Chesterfield, NH. Have you called them?

Chesterfield is 2 hrs roughly from Alton Bay, probably a little more from Mirror Lake. Just west of Keene on rte 9.

Hopefully they do mail order, or enjoy the ride (it is a nice ride). Visit Chesterfield Gorge while you're out their.

There is the Hanover Food Co-op that is largely supplied by UNFI. They also use Associated Grocers of New England for regular items. Concord has a food co-op but I`m not sure if they are supplied by UNFI.

I second the Hanover Co-op (locations in Hanover, Lebanon and White River Jct.). If you don't want to drive all the way over here for your groceries, you should try calling them. They are generally supportive of Co-ops and may be able to steer you to one closer to Tuftonboro.

Hi Dave. I mentioned the distribution center as a potential source for more local point of sale stores that they supply. I'm not sure if the Chesterfield center sells retail.
BTW the gorge is pretty awesome. Nice day trip.
